SAFETY BEGINS BEFORE OUR EMPLOYEES ARE EVER HIRED.
With a rigorous pre-employment screening including a background check, drug test, and driving record check, we do everything we can to ensure every new hire is up to our standards. During their training, new employees are required to complete multiple online safety courses, and are examined by a physician to validate their fitness. Every employee is furnished with the necessary personal protective equipment.

A&K’s employees are not only trained vigorously on safety before they ever set foot on the job, they are regularly trained on new and existing safety standards.
A&K employees are held to the highest safety standards. Our safety program is OSHA compliant and DOT compliant. Each of our divisions hold weekly safety meetings where new or recurring issues can be addressed and resolved. Technicians are responsible for inspecting their equipment daily, and each employee in the field participates in monthly safety training courses with incentives for completion. We’re proud to maintain our certification as a drug free workplace, and we encourage our employees to participate in our active health incentive programs.

A&K ENERGY CONSERVATION IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR SAFETY PROGRAM.
We are continuously listening for suggestions from both employees and customers on how to raise the bar on our safety standards. That’s why we’ve recently taken our safety training program to the next level by building a state-of-the-art in-house training facility.There, we are able to simulate contractor-specific training along with real life scenarios, ensuring our employees are prepared to make informed decisions when faced with the similar situations in the field.
